Whether preparing for a day of hiking, shopping, or just coming in from a morning workout, breakfast is the most important meal of the day. We start with a passion for cooking with fresh, local ingredients and go from there. The Monkey Tree Hotel is located within the very productive Coachella Valley agriculture area, with its 300-day growing season, and we aim to bring the farm-to-table experience to our boutique hotel guests. Whenever possible we use local farmers to supply us with the freshest ingredients. One example is the local date garden – Shield’s Date Garden.  It is one of our favorite suppliers (and you can even tour the Date Garden yourself)!

All of our dishes are made fresh daily in our brand new restaurant-grade kitchen.  We offer a continental breakfast every day including homemade granola, yogurt, fresh fruit, and a wide selection of coffees and teas.  Our house-made specialties include a variety of scones, low carb granola and our savory morning tarts.  We’ll have plenty of protein and carbs for the athletes looking for either a pre- or post-workout meal.

We have both indoor and outdoor seating areas.  Feel free to eat in the air-conditioned in-door dining room at our communal farm table (which came from from our home in Brooklyn, NY – and was made by Amish carpenters in Lancaster, PA) or dine in our outdoor seating areas (furniture which came from a bistro in Paris, France).

Currently in the works is a large kitchen garden where we will experiment with growing our own herbs to make freshly cut herbal tea so that your tea can be “farm” to table too!
